Håndsåpe laget av Yager and May i Fredrikstad, Norge.
A soap designed specifically to be moisturising and healing on cold winter days. Lanolin is one of natures best emollients, and is great on cracked skin. Calendula petals (marigold) have been used for centuries to treat and heal. The scent is fresh and fruity, with orange, may chang, ylang ylang and palmarosa essential oils.
Knitting is a national obsession in Norway. It's good to have smooth clean hands to allow the yard to pass through your fingers, so this soap was born with knitters in mind. The lanolin works in harmony with the wool, ensuring snag free knitting.
The name comes from the nursery rhyme Bæ Bæ Lille Lam which was the first Norwegian song I ever learnt to sing to my kids.
For some reason I thought 'yeah, I can make a soap that looks like knitting! How hard can it be?' Erm...very hard. The theory is simple: I pour layers of different colours, then pass a wire up and down through the layers to create the 'stitches'. Sometimes it works perfectly, other times, not so much! Every bar will be different. I can't control exactly how your bar will look. The only thing I can guarantee is that it won't look like the one in the photo. Please embrace the unique nature of this handmade product and know you have bought a one-of-kind soap!
